These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

Do you remember the movie The Sound of Music? That was one of my favorites when I was little, especially that song, “Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens…” We all have favorite things that keep us going through tough times. But in reality, the best favorites aren’t “things” at all! They’re the places in the heart and mind that experiencing those “things” take us! In fact, the more we let go of “things,” the more space we make to grow love and light in our lives. [bctt tweet=”The more we let go of things, the more space we make to grow love and light in our lives.” username=”ARS_animalreiki”] For me personally, my life over the past several years has been one of struggle and triumph over health difficulties. Strategies for overcoming fear and expanding our mind (with the help of our animals) during difficult times, is something that helped me walk through my own health journey, and something I share with students in one of my favorite video courses, “Heart to Heart Animal Reiki.”  This course is so close to my heart because I share so many tips that worked for me! I am so grateful to be here now, healthy and surrounded by amazing family, friends, and of course you, my compassionate tribe.

Getting through hard times reminds us to keep good things close to us. That’s why these days my favorite things are those people, places and activities that feed my body, mind and spirit with activism, love and compassion for animals.

On that note, I’d love to share with you a few of my favorite “things” right now…

Courses on aligning humanity with Nature:

My favorite animal-friendly food blogs right now:

My favorite movie on Mind/Body/Spirit healing connection: Heal

My favorite movie on a plant-based diet: Game Changers

My favorite book to introduce meditation to kids:  Bee Heartful: Spread Loving-Kindness Frank J. Sileo

What I’m reading right now (a new favorite!):  The Seven Archetypal Stones: Their Spiritual Powers and Teachings Nicholas Pearson

Are any of my favorites yours too? And I’d love your suggestions for things to add to my favorites list 🙂
