Let’s Join Together to Honor the Most Important Animals in Our Lives

Do you owe a huge debt of gratitude to a special animal in your life? Perhaps an animal who helped you align more fully with your soul’s purpose? Many of you know all about Dakota, my soul dog of 16 and 1/2 years, who was the animal who first showed me the possibilities of Animal Reiki. Although he passed away many years ago, I still feel his spirit in so much of the work that I do! You can read more about this incredible dog HERE. After his passing I was inspired to find ways to honor his memory in my Animal Reiki journey. In 2016, I created World Animal Reiki Day in his memory and on his birthday, February 5th.

This coming year, on February 5th, 2022, it will be our 7th year celebrating World Animal Reiki Day, a day to honor animals as our spiritual teachers and healers! Whether you celebrate in small ways, like lighting a candle to honor a special animal teacher from your past, or in big ways, like hosting an Animal Reiki educational event online or at a local shelter or sanctuary, World Animal Reiki Day is a time for our community around the world to come together to raise awareness of our practice and the gifts that animals bring to our lives!

It’s not too early to start planning, and on February 5th, be sure to take photos and/or videos of your celebration and post them to social media with the hashtag #worldanimalreikiday. Want some swag to wear on this special day? SARA is doing a special fundraiser for the next 2 weeks of our special World Animal Reiki Day t-shirt! We have a variety of long and short-sleeved styles of shirts, as well as sweatshirts in many colors. The front of the shirt shows off our cute graphic celebrating the day with all species, and the back shows SARA’s new logo and the words, “let animals lead.” CLICK HERE to order your shirt today! The quality of these shirts by Bonfire is really excellent, and they also make great conversation starters (and I’m speaking from first-hand experience 🙂 ).

Stay safe, be well and may the animals light your way,
