      What you’ll learn in Level 1 of Let Animals Lead® Animal Reiki:

      • How and why the Let Animals Lead® method of Animal Reiki is different than traditional human Reiki and other Animal Reiki methods and why these differences make it the best and most ethically practiced Animal Reiki method in existence.
      • Traditional Shoden (Level 1) Japanese Reiki practices and how to modify them so that animals are given the choice whether they want to step into the healing space we create with our meditation sessions.
      • When and how to ethically use physical contact during an Animal Reiki session and how to read animal behaviour to know when they are telling us it's okay to touch them.
      • How to focus on an animal’s perfection in the moment during a Reiki session and how to stop ourselves from thinking about or focusing on what’s “wrong” with it or what has happened to it in the past.
      • Learning why this shift in our focus is pivotal in developing trusting energetic connections between you and animals. 
      • The 3 energy centers and how to develop them to ensure gentle, animal-led sessions that promote healing.
      • An overview of the LAL® Animal Reiki Practitioner Code of Ethics and why these ethics are a crucial foundation to helping animals while you practice Animal Reiki. 
      • The difference between holding space for an animal and “doing” an energy treatment “to” an animal, and why this distinction matters.

      Requirements to take this Animal Reiki certification course:

      • Students must turn in weekly homework assignments.
      • Students must complete two final assignments: A Documented Case Study and a Reflection Essay on the 6 Pillars.
      • Students must have access to animals to practice with daily.  
      • Students must commit to 10–20 minutes/day minimum of daily meditation practice during the course.

      IAAMB/ACWT: Animal Reiki Source is approved by the International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork/Association of Canine Water Therapy as an Approved Educational Provider. Contact Kathleen if you want to earn 10 CEU for this course.

      NBCAAM: Animal Reiki Source is also approved by the National Board of Certification for Animal Accupressure & Massage as an Approved Educational Provider. Contact Kathleen if you want to earn 15 Hours of CE for this course.

      Canadian Reiki Association: Animal Reiki Source classes have received their Ethical Gold Standard endorsement.
