World Animal Reiki Day Zoom Celebration

Happy 2024! We're inviting you to a very special event organized by all of us at the Shelter Animal Reiki Association (SARA).

You may not know that SARA proudly celebrates World Animal Reiki Day (WARD) every year on February 5th. This special day was conceived in 2016 as a tribute to Dakota, Kathleen Prasad's inspiring Australian shepherd mix who profoundly impacted her life and led to the creation of SARA. Dakota's transformation from a rescue dog to a healer and teacher echoes in the hearts of many, guiding us to recognize and cherish animals as our spiritual guides and healers.

But WARD is more than just a date; it's a day filled with love, respect, and a deep appreciation for the extraordinary bond we share with our animal companions. Across the globe, SARA members celebrate WARD in various ways, from grand events like last year's conference to simple yet powerful acts like lighting a candle in honor of animals.

This year, we're excited to host a virtual gathering on Zoom, and we'd be absolutely delighted if you could join us. It's an opportunity to come together and hear stories and experiences about the positive impact animals bring to our world. Imagine the collective energy of gratitude and healing we can generate by focusing on our gratitude for our animal friends!

The event is scheduled for Sunday, February 4, 2024, from 10 am to 11:30 am PT. I, along with the SARA Board and Team will be there to share insights about WARD, stories of animals that changed our lives, and Kathleen's beautiful WARD prayer.
