Dakota Prasad

Kathleen dedicates her work in the field of animal Reiki (including the organization, SARA) to her dearest canine companion, friend and spiritual guide, Dakota. Adopted from Sacramento County Animal Control in 1992, Dakota spent 16 and 1/2 years at Kathleen's side, and was her very first Animal Reiki teacher. She invites you to view this memorial tribute to his memory, which Kathleen created in gratitude for all the love and joy he brought to her world over the years.

Murphy and Sheba

We will miss your wonderful presence, and wish you bright Reiki blessings as your spirits continue on the journey.

Murphy and Sheba are two of my Reiki clients who receive regular distant treatments. Their person enjoys sitting with them as they receive the treatments, watching the relaxation and peace (snoring and dreaming) they exhibit as they absorb the energy. After treatments, they always seem in better spirits and perkier.

A Loving Tribute to Samantha

By Mary Destri

Samantha came into my life when she was 8 years old, and we had over 8 wonderful years together. She was quite the comedian in her day. When she would yawn, I would make a yawning "sound effect" during her yawn, and before long, she was doing "meowing yawns," with a long, loud "eeeooowww" emanating from her every time she yawned.

Barney's Journey to "Rainbow Bridge"

By Janet Cunningham

You entered my life seven years ago when your family moved away but forgot to take one of its most precious possessions...YOU! Gradually, you learned to trust me, and you taught me far more about trust as our journey began. You joined my other precious cats (indoor) when the time was right, and you never had to fear being alone ever again.

Hope

A very special event occurred in July of 2003. I found Hope - and brought her “home!” That day, God blessed us both with a bond and a love - only we could know. Perhaps because she was already so old, we cherished each and every day we had together and wished that it would last forever. But she was more than just old – she was special.

In Memory of Roger Rags

By Susan Burns

It is with a mixture of deeply felt grief and boundless gratitude for having shared my life these past two plus years with my beloved four year old roger rags (also known by numerous and spur of the moment corny names, my favorite being Rogery Dodgery Ding Dong), that I write to inform you of his death November 8th, 2005.

Memorial Tribute for Ledger

Animals have a way of teaching us about loving, about loyalty, joy, and friendship...And whatever we've shared in their presence can never really be lost.

Cally's Story

We lovingly remember Cally and her journey with Reiki...

By David Griffiths

In June 2005, my Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Cally, was badly mauled by another dog. Cally suffered extensive trauma to the face, and lost the use of her left ear. Her injuries were so bad that she had to go to a specialist centre to have her face put back together.

In Loving Memory Buddy

Seams

By Julie Schmitz

I lay there beside you in this memory, in this dreamI
reach out to touch you
Our hearts become seams

For Bandit

My husband Dan and I adopted Sir Bandit almost two years ago from the Ukiah Shelter. We also adopted a female lab & Whippet mix. We weren’t sure if we were going to get two dogs that day but we fell in love with both of them. Bandit is part chocolate lab and Rottweiler mix but resembles the look of a BEAR.

Chester My Love

5 years ago, You showed up on our door step two weeks before our little dog Buckwheat passed. You wouldn't leave. You just curled yourself up on the door mat and waited patiently to be fed. After Buckwheat left us, we decided to bring you in to be a part of our ever growing family of furry friends. You were always the quiet one. Never really affectionate. Kept to yourself, and really felt you were above everyone else I'm sure. You really couldn't be bothered.
